While watching the second in the Hobbit trilogy I was instantly drawn to this weapon and although I started the project a year later, it provided a opportunity to refine some sculpting skills and complete a project using the full Quixel Suite for the first time. It also came at a time where Unreal Engine 4 had just become free to use, so I was also excited for this as I would be able to get hands on with that engine for the first time.
